Emergency Services Program Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:                     

Overall management and supervision of the emergency services programs.  Direct clinical supervision of the residential counselors, family counselors and aftercare counseling staff.  Coordination of program operations to assure quality client care consistent with agency goals and objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:          

Administrative: 

  • Manage and coordinate staffing on a 24 hour, 365 days a year basis.
  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures.
  • Conduct applicant screening and interviewing, and provide recommendations to the Clinical Director regarding hiring and termination of residential program staff.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and recommendations for salary increases.
  • Coordinate client processing such as intake, registration, termination, referral and follow-up.
  • Review case records and releases of information reports.
  • Supervise and coordinate the client records system to assure that care plans, treatment plans, histories, progress notes, and termination summaries are maintained.
  • Provide administrative on-call coverage on a rotating basis inclusive of shift coverage for residential programs as needed.
  • Monitor establishment and collection of client fees.
  • Coordinate collection of program statistics, and assure accurate and timely submission of data.
  • Assist in new program development.
  • Assure program compliance with established clinical expectations.

Programmatic:

  • Provide clinical training and supervision (individual, group, and on-shift) to the emergency services program staff.
  • Maintain effective staff relations utilizing a team management approach.
  • Provide and coordinate staff development, in-service training, and education.
  • Facilitate multi-disciplinary clinical case consultation three times per week.
  • Convene weekly staff meetings.
  • Act as liaison to the other Bridge programs.
  • Be available for substitute shift coverage as needed.
  • Be available for public relations.
  • Coordinate individual, group, couples and family therapy.
  • Coordinate parent education and support services.
  • Coordinate staff professional development and continuing education.
  • Serve as a program liaison to community programs, county social workers and child protection services.

  • Identify ways to address these issues, and develop approaches that are centrally concerned with issues of fairness and equity.
  • Seek consultation, training, and feedback from colleagues in order to advance skills in providing cross-cultural services.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: 

  • M.A or M.S.W. degree in human services.
  • Clinical licensure in relevant social services discipline.
  • Three years supervised counseling experience with adolescents.
  • Two years supervisory experience in human services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and own auto.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in program administration.
  • LICSW

 

WORKING HOURS:

  • Requires flexible hours, including evenings and periodic weekends.  40+ hours per week.  Available to cover staffing shortages and on-call emergencies.

SALARY:

  • $40,000- $45,000
