Youth Emergency Shelter (ages 10 – 17)
When families or young people need a break from tensions at home, The Bridge helps prevent youth homelessness by providing safe, short-term shelter at no cost.
In Minneapolis, the crisis shelter provides semi-private rooms for 14 youth. Our 6-bed emergency youth shelter in Chanhassen will open in December 2016 in a comfortable, spacious residential home. In both facilities, youth share a community living room and kitchen. Healthy meals are prepared by staff and youth. Transportation to school is arranged so kids can continue in school. Check shelter bed availability at ysnmn.org.
Overnight shelter services in Chanhassen are now available. Please text 612-400SAFE or call 1-800-377-8800 if you are a youth or parent and need help!
