THE BRIDGE FOR YOUTH
Since 1970, The Bridge for Youth has played a critical role as our community's 24-hour access point for youth and families in need, directly accessible without waiting lists, fees or red tape.
Each year the demands grow, with increasingly complex cases in our emergency shelter and increased need for transitional and permanent housing. With a dedicated staff and strong support from the community, we help hundreds of youth each year get off the street and into safe shelter, reunite with families and build skills for a better life.
The Bridge for Youth offers the full continuum of services needed to help youth and their families.
Prevention: Family Reunification
The most effective way to prevent youth homelessness is to reunify youth and their families and help them develop the skills to work through conflicts before they reach the breaking point. The Bridge for Youth staff offers individual and family counseling to help families before they reach the breaking point.
Crisis: A Safe Place in a Storm
Youth on the streets are especially vulnerable and at risk for violence, sexual exploitation and chronic untreated health problems. Our services help youth in crisis.

Transition: Healing and Recovery
Many who come to us have experienced painful failures by the adults in their lives. When asked what they most want in life, they'll answer "an adult in my life I can trust."
We offer ongoing counseling and support to help them heal.

- Individual, group and family counseling
- Health assessment and follow-up
Rebuilding: Strength and Stability
Hope for building a better life, skills for healthier relationships and ability to set and achieve goals for their education, employment and stable housing; these are the supports provided by The Bridge for Youth to young people in our Transitional Living Program.
