Having a love for kids and caring for their well being is a long standing family value which started in the 1920s when her grandparents took in a young man in need. She previously served on the Board of Directors for her community sports association, was actively involved in the Chisago Lakes PTO, and coached baseball for several years. She and her husband have four boys, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter, a new grand baby on the way, and two crazy pups. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy volunteering as mentors, riding motorcycle, spending time with their kids and grandchild, and supporting veterans.
